Contributor
Deadline: November 6, 2009
We are looking for a diverse selection of freelance contributors, from experienced professionals, to undergraduates looking for a foot on the ladder – all we require is an opinion and enthusiasm!
Contributions can take any form; we require short headline articles, longer, more detailed “in-depth” reports, purely factual “briefings” and even satire. The subject can be of your choosing – we always look to accommodate a talented author. We profess to be a political paper; however, we currently publish articles concerning politics, economics, the arts, science and technology and travel. There are literally no confines within which you must work.
We would ask you to give whatever you can to the project, be that one piece a week, one per month, or even one per year. You may write across numerous subjects, or become our expert for just one. You decide what and when to contribute. We also value contributor’s input in new ideas, new styles, new media and new direction.
In return we offer valuable experience for any fledgling author. You can be credited for every piece you contribute, thus offering a unique opportunity to obtain name recognition and an addition to your CV that could make the difference at that next interview. However, your motivation could be simply to have your say. Whatever your intention – we provide the platform, you provide the opinions.
Initially, we would be looking for voluntary contributions; however, exceptional and frequent contributors can expect to be remunerated appropriately.
If you have any further questions and/or would like to send an expression of interest, please contact Jack Criddle at recruitment@queuemagazine.co.uk.
We look forward to working with you.
